We recently received a direct drive turntable built in Japan for the Japanese market. It is designed for 110 V supply. Our customer has the appropriate transformer but he mistakenly plug the unit into our UK 240 V system by mistake. I am sure you can guess the consequences!
We were happy to take the product in for repair but what really interested me is that the customer had contacted several other repairs facilities none of which was even prepared to look at the item. It was therefore very relieved when I told him we would be able to repair it.
